FSC® or The Forest Stewardship is a non-governmental organization working in the field of forest management. The organization’s purpose is to promote the forestry industry to be more environmentally responsible, thereby bringing sustainable benefits to the economy and society. FSC® operates a global certification system consisting of two main components: Forest and chain management.

 

The FSC® standard allows retailers and end users to promote FSC® labeled products without requiring FSC® certification. The standard enables businesses and consumers to identify, purchase and use wood and other forest products made with materials from well-managed forests.
